My mom told me a lot of times that Proactive has the same ingrediants like other acne medicine. Is it true? If so then why don’t most acne medicine works on others?

proactive has some of the same ingredient as traditional acne medication like salicic acid. Proactive also has some botanicals that other meds don’t plus it is a system of acne meds. Using the system works but each product by itself might not help. I have used “acne free” which is half the cost and the same thing as proactive.
Another posted suggested witchhazel and I concure that it is great but it can be drying so you need a good non clogging moisturiser. Witchhazel is cheap when you use a generic. if your skin is already dry then use a qtip and only target the acne. if its oily then use a cotton ball and swipe it all over your face. Witchhazel can also be used on minor cuts and bruises
Not everyone responds the same to every acne treatment.
