Forgot name of medicine for acne therapy?

My doctor mentioned the name of a acne medicine that I would go to next if my current wouldn’t cure my acne. I Forgot the name of it though, I thought she said it was acetone therapy and you would have to take it for 3-6 months and it would pretty much get rid of acne forever. If anyone knows where I could find some information or have taken it please let me know.
