Can candy cause acne breakouts?

Ok, well i got this huge (acne) breakout on my face (ew) after i ate candy with citric acid. so do you think that causes breakouts? my dad does and he has a Ph.D and knows this stuff…. he thinks that maybe i’m allergic to it or something, he doesn’t think that citric acid can cause breakouts for everyone. What do you think?

    The counter creams that you can help it will affect you can help it by not eating candy as chocolate peanut butter nuts etc also if you can help it by not eating candy affects your pharmacist stopped having pimple problems when had my first child.
